go fish!
somehow i managed to go over 3 years now without “rescuing” a fish. in fact, it’s well over 3.5 years.
for whatever reason this past saturday i decided it was time again.
those who knew me back in my days of betta rescuing know how it is. ya see a poor, sad sap in a dirty cup and you perform that little calculation your head:
the probability of its survival if someone else takes this ill, slashed, cotton-covered, tail-less or otherwise “doomed” fish home divided by the probability of its survival at your house, times 100. then you take the square root of that, and then add in the amount of grief and guilt you’ll have from leaving it behind… and then you’ll know if you should take it home.
so yeah, she’s here.
she had a gouge in her side, and she looked otherwise pretty healthy. very pale and pretty weak, but she looked like she wasn’t on the way “out”, if ya know what i mean. even though that wouldn’t have stopped me, but you know… ;}
so w/out any further delay, here’s what she looked like on saturday:

and here’s how she looks today:

will keep updating as she progresses. i expect her to make a full recovery. yay!
